WARNING: This command is hazardous. Changing the data type of a field causes any serialized version of the field to fail to load. This command should ONLY be used in situations in which a field has not been serialized.

Modify Field Definition Type

MFDT <field identifier>, <fieldtype>;

Arguments

<field identifier> 
Name or ID of the field to modify
<fieldtype> 
Describes what kind of data will be contained in the field. Must be either a list definition, or from the list of Field data types. Valid examples are integer or list of class foo or lookup list of list of class fruit, etc. There is no maximum size.

Description

This is a CLI command that changes the type of a field.
