To create your own '''Splash Screen''' that loads up when you start HeroEngine, there are multiple methods:

==Via the Repository Browser==

* Go to the [[Repository Browser]]
* Ensure that it is set to list files in the <tt>Game</tt> package
* Locate the file <tt>heroengine_splash.png</tt>
* Upload a new version

==Via Master Control==
* Open the [[Master Control Console]]
* Change the client configuration string to refer to the new filename
** If not sure how to do this, refer to [[Editing client configuration values]]
** The part you will want to configure is <tt>SplashLogoPath</tt>

==Simulated splash screen ==
If it is desired to use splash screens at other times during gameplay, such as to randomize which screens show up while moving from area to area, this is done via display of a full-screen [[GUI Control]], which has a texture on it that acts as the simulated splash screen.
