Localization Table Editor
Localization Table EditorUtilities Interface menu within HeroBlade. With the viewport focused, press F5 to open the Utilities Interface. Select the "Tools" tab. Under "Configure HeroEngine", select "Localization Table Editor". This will open the GUI and display the current contents of the game development table.
From left to right, the columns "String Number", "Locale", "Context" and "String Value" are displayed.
For more information on how string numbers are used, see the documentation on the Localization System. In the scope of the Table Editor GUI, it can considered an index to a Localization Table Entry. A localization table entry consists of one string number with n locales, n string values and one context. Hence for each locale in the table, a corresponding string value should accompany it. If game X is expected to ship in 3 separate languages, there will likely be 3 locales, so each entry should consist of 1 string number, 1 context, 3 locales and 3 string values.
Adding Table Entries
To add a new table entry, start typing in the bottom right text input box labeled "Add New String...". Afterwards, press the return key to submit the base locale value to the new table entry. This information will sync with the localization process running on the server and distribute to all clients currently viewing the table. After the entry has been created, it will appear at the bottom of the entry list with a blank context a the value submitted in the base locale value row. The rest of the values for the remaining locales will can be populated at this time. Pressing return will commit the changes to the server. After several minutes of no activity, runtime tables are automatically generated. They will reflect any changes made through the Localization Table Editor GUI.
Table entries can be filtered by typing in a string number in the lower left "Filter..." input box. It will also return case-sensitive results from string value regular expression searches.
